[30 Jun 2008|10:27am] the_new_ethic Saturday after work Joey and I went on a pretty sweet 120 mile motorcycle ride. So far the longest I have done all at once. The ride down to Lafayette for Abate is 90 miles and all three of us are riding our bikes down there. Did some cruising around town with Joey last night. The weather sucked so we didn't ride to long. Got some sweet records and shirts coming in the mail soon. Either from pre orders or trades from HYE. Blake flies in Wednesday and is in town till Monday. Pumped to see him. On July 10th myself and some people are going to the north side Veggie Bite. David Agranoff is going to be in town as part of a book signing / reading tour. I haven't read any of his books (I'm not big into sci fi stuff) but he seems like a good dude (yes I know about the drama that surrounds him) and it's another reason to hang out with Mike and eat Veggie Bite. His reading is at Quimby's at 7pm then after we will hit up VB. Monica posted something like this in her LJ. I made my own edits and added a bunch of stuff. Abate second weekend of July. Tattoo appointment for sleeve on the 18th of July. Denver in July. We plan on eating a lot of twinkies, Key Lime Cheesecake and Mac and Cheese pizza. Keith in town with Wait In Vain first weekend of August NYC/Jersey in September NYC/Jersey in October (not sure yet) Hawaii in December Ben coming home for a short leave in December. NYC in January Vegas for WPPI in February Jamaica in May Ben leaves army for good in August. Somewhere in there (hopefully September) I will be dropping down to part time at Lowe's also. This week - Off Today. Possible out to lunch with friends or grill party at my house. Yoga. Motorcycle Ride. - Overnite tomorrow (don't work till 8pm). Working out. Dog Park. - Wednesday. Take Monica to doctor appointment. Sleep. - Thursday. Work at 5am. - Friday. Work at 5am. Try to leave work early. Possible hang out with my old man and brother and sister. Motorcycle Ride. - Saturday. Wedding in South Bend. - Sunday. Soul Veg brunch buffet hang outs. If you want to join in just let me know. I wish this month would speed by. All I care about right now is going to Denver and eating a lot of food and Alex tattooing my leg and my ten year edge knee cap tattoo. 3 comments|post comment

[26 Jun 2008|11:51pm] the_new_ethic Did yoga last night with Monica and Randall. It was my first real yoga class and I really enjoyed it. The teacher was kind of hippie/new age ish which was kind of weird but that was kind of expected. Today I slept in a bit and it was quite nice. Met up with Steve my old Ops Manager from Lowes for lunch at Chipotle. Good times for sure. Got a motorcycle helmet finally. Decided to go with a half helmet "german style". It is kind of big and ridiculous looking but I won't be using it very often anyway. Hung out with Joey for a bit and talked about motorcycles and went bowling. He finally got a motorcycle after all this time. He picked up an '07 Honda Shadow Spirit 750. It's a really really nice bike and it's pretty much what I want to get within the next year or so. I'd probably go up to a 900 or 1100c though. Assuming it doesn't rain tomorrow we will be driving out to Joey's brothers house to pick up his bike. He hasn't ridden very much so I get to ride it home for him. I need to get out and take more pictures. Our garden is getting pretty crazy. We have little tomatoes popping up already and our herbs finally started sprouting. Work tomorrow at 5am. Work on Saturday at 5am. 1 comment|post comment

Blood In Blood Out - Hopeless & Heartless Not out yet but I know they will be amazing... [21 Jun 2008|11:26pm] cole814 I recommend watching the film If... Malcolm McDowell's first film, it deals with life for schoolboys in 1960's England. It has one of the most surreal and fucked up endings I've seen, but it was great. post comment
